Product Description

Products Description of Acetaminophen CAS#103-90-2

Acetaminophen is an analgesic/antipyretic that inhibits COX-2 (83%) and COX-1 (56%) at high 1,000 mg doses. Its toxic metabolite NAPQI causes liver injury by depleting glutathione, and it induces ferroptosis in mouse hepatocytes (reversible by ferrostatin-1). It remains effective for pain and fever relief in animal studies.

Product Applications of Acetaminophen CAS#103-90-2

Acetaminophen (Paracetamol, CAS# 103-90-2) is a non-anti-inflammatory antipyretic/analgesic. Comparable to aspirin in fever relief but weaker in pain relief, it is the top acetanilide derivative ideal for patients intolerant to carboxylic acid drugs. Used for colds and toothaches; also an organic intermediate, H₂O₂ stabilizer and photographic chemical component.
