Product Description

Products Description of Ammonium chloride CAS#12125-02-9

Ammonium chloride ("chloramine"/"halogen sand") is a weakly acidic white crystalline salt soluble in water, ethanol and liquid ammonia. It volatilizes at 100 °C, dissociates at 337.8 °C, sublimes at 350 °C and boils at 520 °C. Low-hygroscopic but caking-prone in humidity, it corrodes most metals (especially copper) but not pig iron. Produced by ammonia-HCl neutralization, it decomposes reversibly only in open systems.

Product Applications of Ammonium chloride CAS#12125-02-9

Ammonium chloride is used in batteries, tanning, electroplating, pharmaceuticals and adhesives, and as a 24%–25% nitrogen acidic fertilizer for grains and fiber crops.
Specifications (GB-2946-82): ≥99.3% dry purity, ≤1.0% moisture, pH 4.2–5.8, with strict impurity limits.
