Product Description

Product Description of Ammonium ferric citrate CAS#1185-57-5

Ammonium ferric citrate (industrial grade, purity ≥99%) is an odorless brownish-red amorphous powder with a slight iron taste. It decomposes when heated with no fixed melting or boiling point, featuring negligible vapor pressure at 25°C and a relative density of 1.80 at 20°C. It is readily soluble in water, but insoluble in ethanol, ether and chloroform. Stable under normal storage conditions, it is incompatible with strong acids, strong oxidants and reducing agents.

Product Application of Ammonium ferric citrate CAS#1185-57-5

Ammonium ferric citrate is a food-grade iron supplement that absorbs better than inorganic iron. It has specified usage limits in various foods under Chinese regulations: applicable to salt and sandwich sugar, high-iron cereals, dairy and infant foods, grain products and beverages with different dosage ranges.
