Xylitol is a thermally stable, diabetes-friendly sweetener compliant with China GB2760-1996. As a versatile sugar substitute, it provides energy without insulin dependence and does not raise blood glucose levels in diabetics.
It participates in nucleic acid synthesis and detoxification, inhibits ketone body production, improves liver function and boosts fat metabolism. Its oral absorption varies individually, and it is almost fully metabolized with minimal urinary excretion.
Clinically, it supplements calories and body fluids, and relieves ketonemia and metabolic abnormalities in insulin-deficient patients. It is safe for liver and kidney at normal doses, but excessive intake may cause osmotic diarrhea and electrolyte imbalance, with a recommended daily limit of 50–70 g.

Widely used in condiments, beverages, jams, candies and baked goods, it is also tooth-friendly: it cannot be fermented by harmful oral bacteria and has antibacterial effects to protect oral health.

Xylitol is a polyhydric alcohol and a natural sugar substitute, commercially produced through the hydrolysis of xylan-rich plants such as birch to extract xylose. With a sweetness level equivalent to sucrose, it dissolves rapidly in formulations and exhibits a negative heat of solution, imparting a refreshing cooling sensation. It provides 24 kcal per gram of energy.Due to its favorable properties, xylitol is widely utilized in applications such as chewing gum, throat lozenges, and chocolate, offering a sweet taste without compromising product quality.
