Product Description

Product Description of ‌Cupric oxide CAS# 1317-38-0

Copper(II) oxide is commonly used as a blue-green ceramic pigment. It is a natural mined mineral and acts as a raw material for copper-related products such as fungicides and wood preservatives. It can also be used as an antifouling agent for ship hulls and for wood protection in outdoor, freshwater and marine facilities. Its bioavailability in animal feed is lower than that of cupric acetate and basic copper carbonate. Besides, it is also applied in superconductor production, battery making and industrial catalytic processes.

Product Application of Cupric oxide CAS# 1317-38-0

Copper(II) oxide is mainly used as a blue-green pigment in ceramics. It is a natural mineral from mining and serves as a raw material for copper products like fungicides and wood preservatives. It can be used as an antifouling agent for boat hulls and to protect wood structures in outdoor, freshwater and seawater environments. It is occasionally added to animal feed, yet its copper bioavailability is lower than cupric acetate and alkaline copper carbonate. It is also applied in superconductor production, battery manufacturing and used as a catalyst in multiple industrial processes.
