Ammonium ferric citrate (≥99% industrial grade) is an odorless brownish-red amorphous powder. It decomposes when heated, features negligible vapor pressure and a density of 1.80. Highly soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol, ether and chloroform; stable under normal conditions but incompatible with strong acids, oxidants and reductants.
