Product Description

Product Description of ‌Sodium perborate monohydrate CAS#10332-33-9

Sodium perborate monohydrate, with the formula NaBO₃·H₂O, CAS 10332-33-9 and molecular weight 99.81, is an oxygen-based bleaching agent. It is a white, odorless, water-soluble crystalline solid or powder. As a commercially major grade of sodium perborate, it features better thermal stability and faster dissolution than sodium perborate tetrahydrate. It has a density of 1.174 g/mL, melting point of 7-9°C and boiling point of 202-204°C, and is freely soluble in water. It is mainly used in detergents such as laundry powders, color bleaches and dishwashing liquids, with functions of stain removal, bleaching, sterilization and color protection for fabrics. It is also applied in dental cleaners, textile printing and dyeing, as well as pulp bleaching.

Product Application of Sodium perborate monohydrate CAS#10332-33-9

Cleaning and Bleaching   As a laundry detergent additive, it is widely used in concentrated laundry detergents, stain removers and dishwasher detergents as a stable active oxygen source. It features low-temperature activation, releasing oxygen rapidly above a specific temperature range; when compounded with activators such as TAED, it can exert bleaching effect at lower temperatures. Oral Care   It is applied in denture cleaners and teeth whitening products, and serves as a key ingredient in oral disinfectant mouthwashes like Amosan for relieving mouth ulcers and gingivitis. Industrial Applications   In the textile industry, it is used as a mild bleaching agent, causing less damage to fabrics than chlorine-based bleach. In the pharmaceutical field, it acts as a degradable preservative in certain eye drop formulations.
