Product Description

Product Description of Manganese Carbonate CAS#598-62-9

Manganese(II) carbonate originates from the natural mineral rhodochrosite. It can also be lab-synthesized as a pale pink precipitate by adding sodium bicarbonate to carbon dioxide-saturated manganese(II) salt solution, yielding manganese carbonate monohydrate MnCO₃•H₂O.

Product Application of Manganese Carbonate CAS#598-62-9

Manganese carbonate is extensively used as a fertilizer additive to remedy crop manganese deficiency. It is also applied in health supplements, as a ceramic glaze colorant and flux, and for concrete staining. Moreover, it serves as a hematinic in medicine, assisting blood cell formation together with iron, vitamin B12 and folate.
