Anhydrous product is white powder or granules; dihydrate is colorless to white crystals or crystalline powder. Moderately soluble in water to form acidic solution at pH approx 4.5, practically insoluble in ethanol and slightly soluble in chloroform.


Product Application of Sodium phosphate monobasic CAS#7558-80-7

Monobasic sodium phosphate monohydrate is widely used as a sequestrant, emulsifier and dye mordant, as well as a reagent and buffer in food and analytical chemistry. It also acts as a fire retardant and silk weighting agent in tanning. Furthermore, it is applied in enamels, ceramics, detergents and boiler chemicals, and can replace borax in soldering and brazing.
