Product Description

Product Description of Yttrium oxide CAS#1314-36-9

Yttrium oxide is available as white powder, sintered tablets and chunks, with a typical purity of 99.9%. It features a body-centered cubic crystal structure and readily absorbs atmospheric carbon dioxide. Its enthalpy of fusion is 105.00 kJ/mol. It is commonly made into crucibles for laboratory and special melting applications. Sintered products are used as evaporation materials for hard film dielectric coatings and thin-film capacitors. High-purity grades including 99.9%, 99.99% and 99.999% are widely applied as sputtering targets to deposit hard films, dielectric layers and thin-film capacitor components.

Product Application of Yttrium oxide CAS#1314-36-9

Yttrium oxide acts as an effective mineralizing agent for spinel formation and serves as a basic raw material in materials science and inorganic synthesis. It can form uniform, dense high-temperature resistant protective coatings. It is also used to fabricate yttrium-iron garnets for high-efficiency microwave filters. Low-purity yttrium oxide is widely applied in the production of electronic ceramics.
