As an essential dietary component, linoleic acid is critical for physiological functions such as phospholipid synthesis and lipid metabolism. It effectively lowers serum cholesterol and is a key unsaturated fatty acid for preventing and improving hyperlipidemia.

It also promotes normal growth and development, alleviating growth retardation, skin and hair disorders, and serum or adipose tissue composition imbalances induced by essential fatty acid deficiency. In humans, insufficient intake impairs cell membrane function, while infants may develop eczema due to linoleic acid deficiency.


Product Application of Linoleic acid CAS#60-33-3

Linoleic acid is an essential omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid and the most abundant PUFA in common foods. Its main dietary sources include vegetable oils, meat, nuts, seeds and eggs.

In biological experiments, 30 μM linoleic acid can promote the migration of IEC-6 rat intestinal epithelial cells in wound healing assays.
