Potassium hexafluorotitanate (CAS:16919-27-0) is an inorganic compound in colorless monoclinic flake crystals.

It is slightly soluble in cold water and inorganic acids, soluble in hot water, insoluble in ammonia. Its density is 3.012 g/mL at 25℃, melting point 780℃. Stable under normal conditions, it decomposes above 500℃ into titanium dioxide and potassium fluoride.

Potassium hexafluorotitanate is used as analytical reagent, alloy additive, flame retardant and casting flux, also for titanic acid and titanium aluminum alloy production.

It is widely used in metal surface treatment, detergent, dental materials and polypropylene synthesis catalysis. It is also applied in metal smelting, electronics, textiles, ceramics and glass industries.
