Product Description

Product Description of ‌Cobaltous nitrate hexahydrate CAS#10026-22-9

Cobalt nitrate is a cobalt nitrate salt, commonly available as hexahydrate. It is used to produce cobalt pigments and invisible inks, and also for stoneware and porcelain decoration, catalyst preparation, vitamin B12 production and battery additives. It can be reduced to high-purity metallic cobalt for electronics and related industries. Besides, cobalt nitrate can be loaded on various carrier materials for Fischer–Tropsch catalysis. It also acts as an intermediate to synthesize benzimidazole and benzothiazole derivatives, which exhibit good antiviral activity against HIV and HCMV-1.

Product Application of Cobaltous nitrate hexahydrate CAS#10026-22-9

Cobaltous nitrate [Co(NO₃)₂·6H₂O], commonly known as cobalt nitrate, is a red hygroscopic crystal. It is used in the production of inks, pigments, animal feed additives, soil conditioners and hair dyes.
