Product Description

Product Description of Polyethylene Glycol CAS#25322-68-3

Polyethylene Glycol is a high-purity industrial product with a minimum purity of 99%. It is available in multiple grades: AEO3 is a colorless liquid and AEO9 is a white paste. Both have a faint fatty odor and belong to nonionic surfactants. AEO3 has a melting point of 5–6 °C and a boiling point of about 290 °C. At 25 °C, its vapor pressure is below 0.1 hPa with a relative density of 0.925–0.940, featuring low volatility and stable physical properties. In terms of solubility, AEO3 is water-dispersible while AEO9 is freely soluble in water. Both dissolve readily in ethanol but are insoluble in kerosene. The product is stable under normal conditions; prolonged contact with strong acids at high temperatures should be avoided.

Product Application of Polyethylene Glycol CAS#25322-68-3

Polyethylene Glycol is extensively applied as a binder, coating agent, dispersant, flavoring aid and plasticizer. It is a clear, colorless, viscous and hygroscopic liquid, or available in white waxy solid and flake forms. Its pH value ranges from 4.0 to 7.5 at a dilution ratio of 1:20. With a molecular weight of approximately 1000, the product is freely soluble in water and compatible with many organic solvents. It is widely used in pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic and industrial formulations, offering excellent compatibility and stable performance.
