Sodium sulfate (thenardite/salt cake, mp 888 °C) occurs naturally in Chile/Spain, used in paperboard, glass and freezing mixtures. Its decahydrate (Glauber’s salt) is a water-soluble solid made from NaCl+H₂SO₄, applied in dyeing, glass and sodium bisulfate production.


Product Application of Sodium Sulfate CAS#7757-82-6

Sodium sulfate is used as a detergent filler, paper sulfate pulp cooking agent, glass soda substitute, and raw material for sodium sulfide and sodium silicate. Additional uses include Vinylon spinning coagulation, pharmaceutical laxative, non-ferrous metallurgy and leather processing.
