Product Description

Product Description of Ammonium Molybdate CAS#13106-76-8

Ammonium molybdate is a colorless, white or pale greenish-yellow powder. It is mainly used in chemical analysis for phosphorus determination. Dissolved in nitric acid solution, it precipitates phosphorus as ammonium phosphomolybdate, which forms (NH₄)₃PO₄·12MoO₃ after drying at 110 °C. Its derived phosphomolybdic acids are used as reagents for alkaloid detection as well as the analysis and separation of alkali metals.

Product Application of Ammonium Molybdate CAS#13106-76-8

Ammonium molybdate (CAS 13106-76-8) is an important molybdate compound. With good water solubility and complexing ability, it has wide applications in many fields. It is used in chemical industry as a refining catalyst, steel surface treatment additive and pigment raw material. In agriculture, it acts as a molybdenum fertilizer to boost nitrogen fixation of legumes and can be added to ruminant feed. In material science, it is applied for preparing molybdenum-based materials and separating rare earth elements.
