Products
High Thermal Stability:More stable than dichlorosilane at high temperatures.
Solubility in Organic Solvents:Easily dissolves in benzene and ether, facilitating chemical processing.
Reactivity with Reducing Agents:Can be reduced to silane using lithium aluminum hydride or lithium borohydride, useful in synthesis.
Non-corrosive to Dry Metals:Does not corrode iron or stainless steel in anhydrous conditions, ensuring material compatibility.
Product Description
Products Description of Trichlorosilane CAS#10025-78-2
Trichlorosilane is a highly flammable, volatile liquid with a pungent odor, posing fire/explosion risks even below -18 °C. It reacts violently with water, alkalis and oxidizers, decomposes at 900 °C into toxic fumes, and forms explosive air mixtures. It reacts with acetylene/hydrocarbons and can be reduced to silane. Soluble in organic solvents; anhydrous form is non-corrosive to iron/stainless steel but corrosive to most metals when moist.
Product Applications of Trichlorosilane CAS#10025-78-2
Trichlorosilane is the primary precursor for polysilicon and organosilicon polymer production, with additional use in industrial instrumentation.
