It is hygroscopic and easily soluble in water with heat release. Its aqueous solution is strongly alkaline with active chemical properties, serving as a basic bulk chemical raw material.

As a widely used basic chemical raw material, sodium hydroxide is mainly used as alkaline neutralizer, saponifier, detergent, decolorizer and corrosive agent. It is extensively applied in papermaking and pulping, textile printing and dyeing, sewage treatment, chemical synthesis, metallurgical purification, daily chemical washing, petroleum refining and food processing industries, effectively completing production processes such as acid-base neutralization, grease removal, wastewater adjustment and raw material purification.


